The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from John M.Burke, trainer of Maximum Bonus, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i).

D.E. Mullins, rider of Of Land And Sea, trained by Paul Hennessy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount moved poorly and pulled up.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Of Land And Sea, trained by Paul Hennessy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on its left hind post race.

D. Meyler, rider of Ben Hur, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung a little right up the straight.

Sam Ewing, rider of Game Point, trained by R.P.Cody, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung and jumped violently right.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend leaving the back straight involving Kai Lung (FR), ridden by D.E. Mullins, Adrienne, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, Ben Hur, ridden by D. Meyler, and Combs, ridden by D.J Gilligan, where it appeared contact was made between the horses. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.E. Mullins stated that he made contact with Combs on his outside rounding the bend despite his best efforts to keep his mount to the rail. D.J. Gilligan stated that it got tight on the point of the bend. D. Meyler stated that it was a domino effect from horses bumping. D.J. O'Keeffe stated that he received contact from his inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at approximately halfway involving Ben Hur, ridden by D. Meyler, Combs, ridden by D.J Gilligan, and Game Point, ridden by Sam Ewing, where it appeared D. Meyler got shuffled back. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. Meyler stated that he landed in the gap and it got tight for a stride. D.J. Gilligan stated that his mount followed Game Point and returned to their racing line. Sam Ewing stated that his mount jumped right and he returned to his racing line and felt he was clear of everything. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident leaving the back straight involving Hopes Are High, ridden by P. Byrnes, and Berto Ramirez (GB), ridden by A.P. Kelly, where it appeared Berto Ramirez clipped a heel. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. A.P. Kelly stated that Hopes Are High came in on top him and he clipped a heel. P. Byrnes stated that his mount was intimidated from the horses in front of him coming backwards and he came in a small bit. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found P. Byrnes was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays.

Kevin Healy, rider of Superficial (FR), trained by Andrew McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise.

J. Smith, rider of First Ascent, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly going down the back.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed the riders first approach to the Starter. Having viewed the recording of the start and consulted with the IHRB Starter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fort Dino (FR), trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from the IHRB Clerk of the course Paul Moloney to amended the distance of race five to two miles, three furlongs, one hundred and seventy yards due to operational reasons.
